She is a tenured lecturer at the Málaga School of Architecture in the Department of Urban Planning and Spatial Planning, and a member of the University Institute for Habitat, Territory and Digitalisation (iHTD). Her research focuses on three main areas:

  • Energy sustainability in cities and urban mobility. Habitability of public space and urban regeneration processes. Data visualisation and cartography in the context of the information society (Smart Cities).
  • Urban habitability linked to the social challenges of urban peripheries and the rehabilitation of neighbourhoods.
  • Analysis of the relationship between cinema, architecture and the city, a field that has been widely developed in research and applied to teaching, with significant applicability to the study of cultural products derived from tourism activity, territorial transformations and coastal tourism.

Her official teaching activity began in 2008 across several degree programmes at the University of Málaga, including Architecture (2005), Degree in Architecture (2010), Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture (2015), Master’s Degree in Architecture (2017), the University Master’s Degree in Image and Communication of Architecture (2019), and as a guest lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Architectural Projects, Environmental Design and New Technologies. Contribution to the Foundation

The Foundation plays a fundamental role in the sustainability of territories and cities, with a particularly important contribution in the fields of mobility and the rehabilitation and regeneration of neighbourhoods. This mission is approached not only from an energy perspective, but also from a social, economic and environmental one. From my professional, research and teaching experience in this field, I can contribute the perspective of architecture and urban planning to the transition towards a new, fairer and more sustainable model of city.
